National Curriculum: High School – Drugs, alcohol and tobacco.

Pupils should know the facts the facts about legal and illegal drugs and their associated risks, including the link between drug use, and the associated risks, including the link to serious mental health conditions.  Keeping up to date with current drug use by young people in the UK, through discussion and activities our lessons cover the national curriculum.

  • The law relating to the supply and possession of legal and illegal substances
  • The physical and psychological risks associated with alcohol and other drugs
  • The facts about the harms from smoking tobacco and vaping, the benefits of quitting and where to get help and support
  • The physical and psychological consequences of addiction
  • Ways to handle and resist peer pressure
  • Harm reduction and how to stay safe
  • County Lines awareness
